The Inspiration
Heartleys Tailoring is run by a husband & wife team who love their work.
Jack knows how important it is to have clothes that fit the way they should. At 6 foot 9 inches tall, finding a good fit straight off the peg has long been almost impossible. Finding expert tailors to make him suits, shirts & trousers led to the founding of Heartleys.
Hannah has a passion for dressmaking, an eye for detail and lots of experience in customer service.
The Name
"Heartleys" is a play on words and a reference to the place where your bespoke-fitting clothes are hand-crafted - Delhi, the heart of India. Not only is Delhi the capital, and located in the centre of the country at that, but Delhi is pronounced "Dilli" in Hindi. "Dil" means "heart".
We like to think of ourselves as a company with heart. We care about our customers, we want them to be happy with the clothes we make for them as well as the price they paid for them, and we want our hard-working team members to enjoy their work and feel good about their remuneration for it.
The People
Jack & Hannah work with local suppliers & tailors who they consider to be friends as well as colleagues. Fabric choices & order details are discussed over a cup of sweet chai - to make sure the end product is exactly as their joint customer wants it to be.
